The objective of Rork Interiors is to implement environmentally sound and sustainable building, construction and management practices.
This is achieved through:
The establishment and continuous development of our Management System, ensuring that it is implemented throughout the operation.
The Management System is has been developed to comply with the requirements of AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004 Environmental management systems and other Australian Standards and Legislation.
The Environment Management Policy aims are:
To design fitouts that encourage efficiency and minimiseenvironmental impact;
To review progress and continually improve its environmental management practices;
To comply with the requirements of the Environmental Protection Act and relevant legislation;
To control and prevent airborn, water and noise pollution arising from Rork Interiors activities;
To monitor and review environmental objectives and achievements;
To provide an ongoing training program for all new and existing employees; and
To continually improve the effectiveness of the Management System.
In particular, Rork Interiors supports initiatives to:
Promotoe recycling and resuse of materials; and
Reduce waste at source and throughout the construction process through design and amangement initiatives (i.e. landfill waste).
